Today is a day of Rest

Today Matthew is supposed to rest and he is cooperating. The sedatives help of course. They are continuing to monitor various elements in his blood and giving him doses of things as needed. He is being fed with an NG tube. He is peaceful and quiet. We are just praying that he continues to pee out all the excess fluid in his body, especially the fluid around his lungs. If all goes well they will try to take the breathing tube out again on Wednesday or Thursday. They will also pull his pigtail chest tube out tomorrow if the amount of liquid draining from it continues to tapper off like it has today.

Its hard traveling back and forth each day; not only on Mike and I but also on Mary and Mikey. My parents have been great and we appreciate all the offers from others.

Thank you,
Lori
